The mission of Fairfax County Alliance for Human Services (AHS) is to improve the quality of life in our county by strengthening and promoting human services.
We are a non-partisan partnership of:
- Individuals who support human services.
- Public and private human services providers.
- Local organizations, groups, and congregations.
Our main tasks are to:
- Build increased public support for all human services in the county.
- Advocate for better human service funding in Fairfax County budgets.
- Identify and advocate for unmet needs and underserved populations.
- Stimulate and support effective advocacy by concerned citizens and organizations.
Our members represent nonprofit agencies, civic groups, professional groups, unions, religious congregations, business, banking, public employees, users of human services and others. We join our many voices in shared support of all human services in Fairfax County.
